What is an estate sale?
An estate sale is a sale to liquidate all the belongings in a home. Maybe you decided its time to sell your house and move to a smaller home across the country or in a whole other country. Maybe you have been made the executor of an estate for a loved one who has passed on and you don’t know what to do with the contents of the house before you sell. Throwing things away and giving thing to charity are laborious and time consuming and bad for the environment. Keep the land fills clear and pass those treasures on to the next generation- we care about preserving objects! These are reasons to have an estate sale! An estate sale is an easy and cost effective way to empty an estate. Not only can the money you make from a sale help you into your new life, you don’t have to struggle with the emotional and physical labor of cleaning out your home.
What is the process of an estate sale?
We hope to make this transition as easy and painless as possible. Once you have decided its time to sell the home you need to decide what you will take with you. Depending on if this is your home or you are the executor of an estate the ultimate goal is the same- to empty the home for sale and moving. Some people say “This was my aunts house I don’t want anything- you deal with it.” Some people pack a suitcase and leave everything else to us to sell. Others may take 50% of the belongings to the new place and sell the rest. Whatever you are thinking of doing, we can help!
We will clean, organize, stage and photograph your estate for a two to three day sale two weeks before the date of the sale.
Then your sale will happen. We ask you not to attend as an estate sale can be emotional for people whose items are being sold. This isn’t easy for a lot of people and we understand that. We want to make this as easy and pleasant as possible so you can move on with a clean slate.
We will keep you updated at the end of every sale day about how it’s going.
Finally, after the sale we will calculate your 60% earnings and send you a check the next day with registered mail!
